VaporTent Lounges, LLC

State Licensed Social Consumption and Hospitality Events Focusing on Local Arts, Culture & Education. DCC LIC #CEO14-0000005-LIC.

VaporTent Lounges has played a leading role in developing social consumption event legislation across California, providing local jurisdictions and their consumers with a safe, legal, and state-regulated solution to legally purchase and socially consume while enjoying a collaborative hospitality experience at a concert, hotel, restaurant, sporting event, or movie theater.

As the industry matures and the regulations evolve, the future of the industry lies in collaborative wellness-focused social consumption hospitality models, which are clearly set to lead the industry forward.

Collectively, we can address multiple city priorities by embracing the economic, entertainment, and tourism potential of this emerging market while pioneering a cultural shift that will turn social consumption from a taboo subject into a mainstream hospitality experience with our small businesses and local arts communities.

More importantly, it is a paramount principle that VaporTent Lounges builds a brand led by responsible consumer engagement, fully understanding the importance of setting a positive example while building a culturally diverse direct-to-consumer economic model that prioritizes legacy, craft, and equity brands.

“A San Jose entrepreneur wants the city to expand its horizons and allow special events at museums, concerts and comedy clubs where adults can smoke, drink or eat cannabis products.

Fernando Alvarez, founder of VaporTent Lounges, said the city is missing out on an economic policy he’s helped other California cities craft. One that allows organizers to host special events where people can sell and consume cannabis.”

San Jose City Council - Public Comment in Support of Cannabis Equity Assistance Program & Social Consumption Events.

Leafly - Sept 22, 2018

Assembly Bill 2020 vastly expands the type and number of venues that can host licensed cannabis events. As of January 2019, State-Licensed Cannabis Event Organizers can host events at public and private venues, outdoor spaces —  art museums, movie theaters, performing arts theaters, parks, and urban streets, etc.

“It opens up the market,” Fernando Alvarez, a San Jose promoter of boutique events, told Leafly.

“Alvarez said he’s approaching museums and jazz festivals in the San Francisco Bay Area and envisions highly curated events for smaller audiences, a fraction of the size of The Emerald Cup or High Times’ Cannabis Cups.
